Forge: Adaptive Strength — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Data Forge collects

If you grant permission, Forge reads selected Apple Health data such as sleep, heart rate, heart-rate variability, and workouts. Forge also stores the training preferences, check-ins, workouts, and feedback you enter.

How your data is used

Health and training data is used to produce recovery-adjusted strength recommendations, maintain workout history, and show progress. Forge does not use HealthKit data for advertising and does not sell HealthKit data.

Where your data lives

Forge version 1.1.1 and later store your Forge data, including health data imported from Apple Health, journal entries, and coaching history, only on your device. These versions do not sync that data to iCloud or to any Forge server, and deleting the app removes it from your device.

Earlier versions (1.0 through 1.1.0) used Apple’s private iCloud (CloudKit) storage for this app data, so a copy may exist in your own iCloud account. That copy is stored under your Apple ID and Apple’s terms. Forge’s developer has no access to your private iCloud data and cannot read it. If you want it removed, you can delete it yourself in Settings, then your name, iCloud, Manage Account Storage, Forge, Delete Data (exact labels vary by iOS version).

Device backups you make through Apple are governed by your Apple settings. Apple Health permissions can be changed at any time in the Health app. Deleting Forge data does not delete source records from Apple Health.

Anonymous analytics (off by default)

Anonymous product analytics is off by default. If you enable it, Forge may send limited events such as onboarding completion, feature use, and purchase outcomes to its analytics provider. Health measurements, workout notes, journal text, AI messages, and contact details are excluded. Forge does not use these events to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Optional AI coaching (off by default)

AI coaching is optional and off by default. Until you turn it on in Data Privacy, no question or health context is sent anywhere. When it is on, your question and the context you allow are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate the answer: OpenAI if you add your own API key, or Forge’s coaching service, which forwards requests to Anthropic, for eligible subscribers. Health metrics are included only if you separately turn that on. Do not submit medical records, account credentials, or other secrets.

Your choices

You can use Forge without connecting Apple Health, optional AI, or anonymous analytics. You can revoke Health access, export supported records, or delete locally stored Forge data and preferences from Settings. Subscription records remain managed by Apple. For privacy questions, use Support & Feedback in Forge or email support@lifescience.ca.
