Title search
A title search is a check of the Land Title Office record that shows who owns a property and any mortgages, liens, easements or covenants registered against it.
Records are held by BC's Land Title and Survey Authority (LTSA). Covenants and easements matter on North Shore lots in particular: they can restrict building, tree removal or views, or give a neighbour access across the land.
