Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains how I, Alex Mackenzie, REALTOR® at Royal LePage Sussex, collect, use, disclose and protect personal information through alexandermackenzie.ca.
Information Collected
I collect information you submit through contact, listing inquiry, showing, home valuation, saved-search, market report, newsletter and referral forms. Depending on the request, this can include your name, verified email address, phone number, property address, search criteria, timeline, message, marketing source and the pages or listings connected to your request.
If you create a listing-data account, the website also records your email, a securely hashed password, verification status and acceptance of the applicable listing-data terms.
How Information Is Used
- To answer your question, arrange a showing or prepare a requested valuation.
- To provide saved searches, listing alerts, reports or other material you request.
- To follow up about the real estate service connected to your inquiry.
- To prevent abuse, verify contact details and protect the website.
- To measure which pages and campaigns result in inquiries and improve the website.
- To meet legal, regulatory, brokerage and MLS®/DDF® obligations.
Consent and Marketing Messages
When you request information or a real estate service, I may contact you about that request using the details you provide. Promotional email is sent only where consent or another lawful basis applies. Marketing messages identify the sender and include a working unsubscribe method. You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Information may be processed by service providers that operate the website and client workflow, including Vercel for hosting, Supabase for database and authentication services, Resend and Mailchimp for email, BoldTrail for customer relationship management, and Google and Meta for measurement where those tools are enabled. These providers receive only the information needed for their services and may process data outside British Columbia or Canada under their own safeguards and applicable law.
I do not sell personal information. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect against fraud or security threats, or as needed to complete a service you request.
Analytics and CREA Listing Reporting
Analytics tools can record pages viewed, general device and browser information, referral source, campaign information and interactions such as calls, form starts and submissions. Form contents are not sent to Google Analytics. You can use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or block analytics in your browser.
CREA requires DDF® websites to record listing activity through its Analytics Web Service. When you open a listing, the website sends CREA the listing identifier, website destination identifier, event type, an anonymous browser identifier and the listing-page URL. It does not send your inquiry form contents, name, email address or phone number in that event.
Cookies and Local Storage
Cookies and browser storage support account sessions, saved listings, contact attribution, analytics preferences, security controls and acknowledgement of listing-data terms. Blocking them may prevent some features from working.
Retention and Protection
Personal information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, client-service records, security, dispute resolution and legal or regulatory requirements. Administrative, technical and access controls are used to reduce unauthorized access, loss or misuse.
Access, Correction and Deletion
You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw consent, or request deletion where retention is not legally required. Send the request to alexmackenzie@royallepage.ca. I may need to verify your identity before completing it.
