Dual agency
Dual agency is one realtor representing both the buyer and the seller in the same sale, and it has been largely prohibited in BC since June 2018.
It's allowed only in narrow circumstances, such as remote locations with few licensees, and with both parties' written consent. A realtor who meets an unrepresented buyer on their own listing must explain the risks of dealing with them without representation.
