Home inspection
A home inspection is a licensed inspector's visual review of a home's structure and systems, usually done while an offer is still subject to conditions.
Home inspectors in BC are licensed by Consumer Protection BC. On older North Shore houses the inspection often leads to specialist follow-ups: a sewer-line scope, an oil-tank search on pre-1960s homes, or a drainage and envelope review on hillside lots.
In multiple-offer situations buyers sometimes inspect before offering so they can write without an inspection condition.
